Ethan Strunc is a student at Louisiana State University (LSU) currently pursuing a B.M. in Music Composition and Percussion Performance. He works as a Teaching Artist for the nonprofit organization Kids' Orchestra, as well as being a percussion technician for high schools in Texas and Louisiana. Further, he also does work as a freelance composer, performer, and recording engineer. His teachers include Brett William Dietz, Mara Gibson, Shawn Galvin, and Brian Nabors. Strunc has performed with Hamiruge, the LSU Percussion Group, at the 2025 Percussive Arts Society International Convention and frequently plays with the premiere wind ensembles and orchestra at LSU. Honors include first place in the visual and performing arts category at the 2026 LSU Discover Day, runner-up in the 2025 LSU Dean's Concerto Competition, and acceptance into the 2026 Nashville Marimba Sessions as well as the 2026 Brevard Music Festival. Strunc is currently a member of the Percussive Arts Society and ASCAP.
