Session #7 (2026):

Instrumentation: Acting percussion solo (full instrumentation below)

Duration: 7 minutes and 15 seconds.

Program Notes: Session #7 is a theatrical multi-percussion solo featuring spoken word that takes the listener through a therapy session. The performer acts as both the therapist and patient, with the spoken part resembling the words of a therapist and the drums resembling the patient's response. The 4-7-8 breathing/vibraphone section is built off of pentatonic, major, and octatonic scales as they converge over one another and blur the lines. Session #7 was commissioned in by Steven Wimberley as a part of his D.M.A. monograph over theatrical percussion.

Full Instrumentation: China Cymbal, Bongos, Floor Tom, Snare Drum, Kick Drum (on the floor w/ pedal), Vibraphone, Notebook and Pen.

To be premiered in Spring 2027 by Steven Wimberley.
