Bump in the Night (2026):
Instrumentation: String Quartet
Duration: 6 minutes
Program Notes: "Bump in the Night is a piece for string quartet that is meant to mimic a thriller or horror soundtrack. Inspired by many contemporary string quartets, as well as arrangements of Astor Piazzolla's music, this piece takes the listener through an eerie soundscape, followed by a curious tango, and eventually a thrilling chase sequence. Bump in the Night is ultimately a way for me to push my musical voice outside of its comfort zone, embracing strange soundscapes and an exclusively octatonic pitch collection."
Premiered at the Brevard Music Festival on July 3, 2026.
